Measure Average RPM of an EV3 Motor – No Extra Hardware Required

Today’s EV3 programming tutorial will teach you how to make a program that measures the average rotation speed of a motor attached to your EV3 robot. This program measures average speed over the entire time the motor has been running. The best part is, no external sensors are required; the program uses the rotation sensor built into the EV3 motor and the timer built into the EV3 brick. The program can measure rotational speed in either degrees per second (D/S) or revolutions per minute (RPM). A very useful program for FLL teams.
