A Ford Engineer’s Advice to All STEM Students

What is it like to work on impactful engineering projects like the aluminum F-150? What is it like to work as an engineer in the industry? How can I prepare myself for this career path? What does the future of the automotive world look like?

Today, I interview George Luckey, a research engineer who has spent his entire career working in the Research and Advanced Engineering group in the Ford Motor Company. George has worked on several impactful project at Ford, including playing an integral role in making the aluminum-body F-150 a reality. I ask him about his experience working for Ford, his advice to young STEM student, and his thoughts about the automotive world and where it’s heading.
