LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Is Retiring Forever – Here’s What to Do NOW

LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 is officially slated for retirement in June 2021, according to a recent announcement by LEGO Education. The LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 31313 retail set sold its last few units at the end of 2020, and the LEGO Education version of the EV3 will follow closely behind. This marks the close of a chapter in the history of LEGO MINDSTORMS.

Today, I discuss the announcement regarding the fate of LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 and offer my thoughts. I recommend all LEGO MINDSTORMS enthusiasts embrace the next generation of LEGO robotics, Spike Prime and LEGO MINDSTORMS 51515 Robot Inventor. At the same time, I am deeply grateful for what the EV3 has given me and its contributions to the LEGO MINDSTORMS community.
