Virtual vs. Physical Robots Part 1 – Programming

This week, I will compare the process of programming a virtual robot in the Virtual Robotics Toolkit to the process of programming a physical EV3 robot. I will also explain the differences between programming physical and virtual robots. (Spoiler alert: they’re very similar).

The Virtual Robotics Toolkit (VRT) is a robotics simulation software made by Cogmation robotics, and allows you to prototype an EV3/NXT creation without the need for a physical robot, offering a cost-effective alternative. If you are interested in learning more, check it out on the Cogmation website here.
